The Rathsallagh Hotel

Welcome To The Rathsallagh Hotel

Converted from Queen Anne stables in 1798, Rathsallagh is a large 4-star Grade A country house set in 530 acres of peaceful parkland with its own walled garden — all surrounded by the magnificent Rathsallagh Golf Club.

It is central to some of the most beautiful countryside in eastern Ireland yet Dublin is less than one hour's drive away.

The O'Flynn family and their staff look forward to welcoming you to Rathsallagh. The atmosphere is happy and relaxed with log and turf fires, central heating throughout and luxurious bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms.

Recommended by international good food and hotel guides Rathsallagh is also a member of Ireland's prestigious Blue Book. The food at Rathsallagh is country house cooking at its best — game in season and fresh fish are specialties. The dining room has an impressive wine list featuring all the great appellations. Breakfast in Rathsallagh is an experience in itself and has won the National Breakfast Awards three times.

Perfect for your ideal Wedding, Rathsallagh also has superb conference facilities, and is ideal for the corporate group who want to take over a small hotel in its entirety. In addition, Rathsallagh has all the sport and leisure facilities associated with a great country house hotel.

In addition, we have a three bedroom house available, the Eagle Lodge, located at the main entrance to the Golf Club.

Rathsallagh is also a member of the Emerald Triangle, an entirely new concept for staying in Ireland. The Emerald Triangle consists of 3 exclusive family owned properties; Glenlo Abbey Hotel near Galway City, The Sandhouse Hotel in Donegal as well as Rathsallagh House.

Accommodations

Rathsallagh House is a Queen Anne stables converted into living accommodation after the original house was burnt out during the rebellion of 1798. Today there are 31 bedrooms at Rathsallagh, all en-suite and all individually named and decorated.

To get a feel for the rooms themselves you only have to read some of the quotes of those who have stayed in them. -"My bedroom overlooked rolling lawns and ancient oaks. The bed was the size of a croquet lawn." - Alan Bestic, The Sunday Telegraph — in The Blue Room

Opening French doors from our specious en-suite room, I stepped out into the beauty of an eighteenth-century Irish walled garden, to be overwhelmed by the scent of Philadelphus Belle Etoile."- The English Garden — in The Rose Cottage.

"The Country House visit unfolded like a fantasy. You could stay in them forever and recuperate from your everyday life." - Mary Finnegan, Sunday Business Post — in The Half Acre.

Other rooms such as the Buttercup, the Romantic, the Over Arch and The Yellow Room, with its bath set in an alcove, are old favorites with guests who come back time and time again.

In addition, we have a three bedroom house available, the Eagle Lodge, located at the main entrance to the Golf Club.
