Clonard House
Welcome To Clonard House

Clonard House, built in 1783 by William Hatton, a local leader of The United Irishmen in 1798, is an historic listed house steeped in the events of
times past. Purchased by John's father, Nicholas in 1937, Clonard House has been lovingly restored and opened it's doors as a successful guesthouse in 1980.

Clonard House is an excellent example of Georgian architecture with elegant high ceilings, spacious reception rooms and furnished throughout with antiques from the period.

John and Kathleen and their 4 children (Aisling, Avril, John and Andrew) take pride in providing their valued guests with first class service, excellent food, superior facilities, and most of all, a genuine warm welcome. A browse through our visitors book offers testament to our guests'
appreciation.

All rooms are en-suite with TV and hairdryer. Most of our rooms have four poster beds dressed in antique lace, while all rooms are equipped with orthopedic mattresses. Tea and coffee available at all times and Irish coffees served every evening by the fire in our inviting drawing room.
